Eric has a very holistic approach to his coaching, aiming to see all of his clients reach a higher quality in all aspects of their physical fitness. Specializing in improving overall function, performance and health of the human body you can be sure training with Eric you will be well taken care of.
Exercise has been the foundation for most of the growth in my life. I first experienced physical training in my late teens and instantly fell in love with it. Being able to challenge your body against resistance day after day until you begin to see yourself transform, all that hard work paying off. Your new body becomes a symbol for all the sacrifice, discipline and hours of work you put in, worth every single rep.
For me exercise and a healthy lifestyle not only allowed me to achieve the body I desired but it also gave me the strength , mind. Fighting through years of deep depression in my youth, exercise has been an anchor, my lighthouse if you will, a reference point that even while battling through a storm would be able to guide me home to still waters. It taught me the power of setting goals, developing discipline, embracing the challenge and most of all never giving up on the things you desire even when times get hard.
Exercise has undoubtedly changed and shaped my whole life and I know it is my purpose to use my experiences, knowledge, and passion to change the lives of as many other people as I can. This is a life long journey, I embrace each and every day and I cannot wait to help you along your journey!

I spent the majority of my youth involved in a variety of sports including swimming on a competitive swim team and figure skating
My father was an athletic trainer involved with lacrosse, football and especially hockey, working with a franchise in the WHA before it merged with the NHL. I inherited my father, love for sport.
I have coached ringette as well as softball, taking a few of my teams to provincial play-offs as well as managing a youth softball team that participated at the national championship level. As an adult, I took up playing ringette and dragonboat paddling. I enjoy participating in all types of sports having run a number of half-marathons. Recently, my adult daughter and I competed in a couple of Highland Games in the heavy games events.
After starting to workout with Eric at EMF Fitness, a fire was ignited within me. I am in the best shape of my life, and I want to share my journey with others. So, at the age of 55, I became a certified personal training specialist.
Exercise is and will continue to be a very important part of my life. I look forward to being able to be a positive role model for my clients and will be with them every step of the way on their journey towards a fitter, healthier lifestyle. Fitness has been a long road for me.
Struggling with weight and self esteem issues for most of my life, I always had this feeling that “fitness” just wasn’t my thing.Then, a few years ago, I walked into EMF. At the time, I was tired and depressed. I felt lost. There were pieces missing, but I didn’t know what they were, or how to find them. I just knew that life had become unbearable. So, I struggled through my first session with Eric - red faced and dripping sweat by the end, I knew without a doubt that I had to come back. I had to make a change.
The next few years brought me so much more than I could have dreamed when I walked through the doors. Through strength training, I found respect for myself. I found passion, my voice, and a sense of wonder at the mind-body connection. I started to recognize that I am someone that has to push boundaries, that I am happiest when I follow my heart, and that I needed to help others find their voice. I needed to create change.
If there is one statement I would stand by, it is that people are amazing. My goal as a coach is not just to open doors into the world of fitness, but to also help my clients find what is uniquely them. I believe that to cultivate a strong body, we must also cultivate a strong mind.

One on One Training/Coaching
A Training Plan Dedicated 100% To You!
​After an one hour complimentary introductory and assessment session, your coach will set up a 8-12 week plan based off of your goals and training experience. You will meet with your coach 1-4 times per week for an hour at a time.
Sessions will be set up to teach you the fundamentals of exercise and how to best train for your goals. We will cover a wide range of topics and drills ranging from: warm up, dynamic movement, mobility, strength training, conditioning work, cool down, and stretching.
Small Group Training/Coaching:
High-Level Coaching. Intimate Setting.
In this style of training, we group you with like-minded individuals who are striving for similar goals. Working with others creates a higher energy environment where you can push and hold each other accountable for each other's goals.
In this setting everyone can learn new things as each individual gets shown and coached about something they specifically need to focus on, seeing what others change can help you have a better understanding of why we do things the way we do.
Large Group Training/Coaching:
Join The Party!
Large group classes are a great option for teams, corporate groups, and trainees who have gone through 1-1 coaching before and gotten great results but want something they can do a few more times per week to maintain their results.
Classes are set up with a good warm-up for 5-10 minutes, a 30-40 minute high-intensity workout, and followed by additional core workout and cool down.
Team Training/Coaching:
Whether you are a hockey, soccer, lacrosse or dragonboat team, or Spartan Race athletes. EMF Fitness can help you with sport-specific training to assist in improving your performance in your sport of choice. We have worked for a number of years with a ladies' dragonboat team. The ladies attend regular workouts in the gym throughout the fall and winter months. Once water season arrives, the ladies are in peak shape in order to compete at various festivals.
Our trainers have been involved personally as players and coaches in a variety of team and individual sports. They know what it takes to compete at the top level of their sports and can assist your team (or you individually) reach fitness and sport-specific goals.
On-line training/coaching:
EMF has expanded their coaching services to include on-line training and coaching. At EMF Fitness, we understand what it is like to lead a busy life. We want to assist as many people as we can achieve health and wellness goals. In order to expand the people we can assist, we have branched off into on-line training and coaching. The beauty of on-line training/coaching is that you can work with one of our coaches from anywhere in the world. You do not have to come into a brick and mortar building. We can work with you in your home, while you are on the road for work, or travelling for pleasure. We not only assist you with your fitness goals, we are also able to assist you with nutrition coaching.
To assist with your fitness regime, we use an on-line program in which we can build a set program consisting of a number of workouts planned for you in order to meet your goals. With the program we are able to track a number of different metrics including:
- Daily Movement/Activity
- Sleep Patterns
- Body Composition
- Progress Photos
- Caloric Intake; and
- Much more
You will be held accountable by having to update the metrics we track regularly. You are able to reach out to your coach with any questions you may have regarding your exercise program or nutrition at your convenience. You will also have a virtual check-in once a week with your coach to discuss any issues or concerns you may encounter as well as discuss your nutrition and your over-all well-being.
To start, you will have a get to know you and a goal setting call with your coach. Following this call, your coach with set a program up for you keeping your goals and lifestyle in mind.

Getting set up for on-line training is easy! Follow the steps below to start on your journey with EMF Fitness:

Complete a PAR Q Form (medical information form) and other initial paperwork.
EMF will send you a welcome package and a questionnaire to complete in order to assist your coach in preplanning for your initial virtual consultation.
Once your paperwork has been received, a coach will reach out to schedule your initial consultation.
Following your consultation, you will receive information regarding our on-line platform along with instruction to assist you with setting up the program on your phone. Once you have set the program up, you will receive your initial 8-week training program.
Your investment to improve your health and well-being is $199.00 per month, with a minimum of a 3-month commitment. Payments are due monthly, in advance. You will receive an invoice which can be paid via credit card or e-mail money transfer. You can cancel anytime after three months, but we know that you will love the results you get from following the program and will be eager to continue on your journey.
